Representatives of the carbon capture industry have challenged a paper released this week by a UN science body that questions the nascent technology's usefulness in trying to limit global warming. The Carbon Capture Coalition represents more than 100 companies working on direct air capture, carbon capture and storage technologies that governments as the United States and the private sector poured in billions of dollars to help commercialize the technology.
