Transportation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By replacing a combustion car with an electric car or regularly using trains\/public transport (mostly electrified), approximately 1.5 - 2.0 t of CO\u2082 can be saved per year.<\/li>\n<li>Or using a bicycle\/public transport + significantly reduced car traffic will reduce your footprint similarly, by approximately 1.5 - 2.0 t CO\u2082 per year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Take advantage of potential savings <strong>approx. 1.8 t CO\u2082 per year<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Food and consumption:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A significant reduction in meat consumption (especially beef has a high footprint \u2013 approx. 27 kg CO\u2082\/kg of meat), switching to local, seasonal products and a vegetarian or vegan diet can reduce the carbon footprint of the diet by approx. 30 to 40 %.<\/li>\n<li>With original emissions from food\/shopping of approx. 1.5 t CO\u2082 per year, you can save approx.\u00a0<strong>0.5 tons of CO\u2082<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5. Other minor measures:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Energy-efficient household appliances, LED lights, limiting excessive consumption of clothing and electronics.
