According to him, it is no longer enough to just summits were based only on rhetoric and symbolic promises - it is necessary to turn words into concrete steps that will bring measurable results in reducing emissions and adapting to climate change.

The COP30 President stressed that international negotiations to date have often ended without tangible results, with commitments being insufficiently ambitious and implementation of measures too slow. “Our discussions must be based on reality, not empty words,” he said in his speech to representatives of governments, industry and NGOs. According to him, it is important that countries not only formally adopt climate targets, but also ensure sufficient financing and implement concrete technical support for the transformation of the energy and industrial sectors.

International carbon credit markets and the introduction of strict emission standards play a key role in this process. The President pointed out that investments in renewable energy sources, limiting fossil fuel consumption and supporting innovative technologies are essential to achieving true climate neutrality. “We must create mechanisms that not only reward those who significantly reduce their emissions, but also sanction those who continue to excessively pollute our planet,” he added.

In addition to financial incentives and regulations, the President of COP30 also considers improving the transparency and credibility of emissions data to be crucial. International standards, such as the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) or the Gold Standard, allow for more effective monitoring of progress in the fight against climate change. The President appealed for these tools to become an integral part of international climate strategies and to be expanded not only in developing countries, but also in the world's most developed economies.

The COP30 call also underlines the need for a significant strengthening of international cooperation. As the host country, Brazil itself has long faced serious environmental problems – from accelerated deforestation of the Amazon to extreme weather events. It is therefore extremely important that the international community shares the same goals and commitments in the field of climate efforts. The President called on all countries to review their existing policies and focus as a priority on implementing measures that will lead to real emission reductions.

According to him, international summits should be transformed into a forum for the exchange of best practices and concrete commitments, where projects, investments and innovations will not only be presented but also immediately implemented. "Only through direct and concrete actions can we achieve a sustainable future," he emphasized at the end of his speech.

This call represents a significant shift in the approach to climate change – from theoretical discussions to practical, measurable results. The international community is on the threshold of a new era, where words will only have real weight when they are translated into concrete and effective action. Spring

At the recent COP30 conference in Brazil, the event's president sent a clear message: It's time to stop talking about climate goals and start taking action.
