It\u2019s called biochar, and its myriad of climate benefits\u2014improving soil fertility, producing green energy, reducing waste, and most importantly, sequestering carbon from the atmosphere\u2014have led many scientists to describe it as the most advanced and advanced method of CO2 removal we have today. <\/span><span>\u201cIt has all these side benefits,\u201d says Axel Reinaud, the company\u2019s founder and CEO.\u00a0<\/span><span>NetZero<\/span><span>\u00a0, which operates the facility. \u201cThey really complement each other and it\u2019s interdependent\u2026 . In terms of carbon removal, this will be the first solution to achieve scale.\u201d <\/span><span>Biochar production is an ancient agricultural practice that dates back thousands of years to fertile soil\u00a0<\/span><span>Terra Preta<\/span><span>\u00a0in Brazil.
