With its 54 countries, it is behind only Asia in area and population. Although people living in Africa have contributed little to the problem, in any scenario of more than 1.5\u00b0C warming, their continent is the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. Yet these effects remain severely understated in Western English-language reports. Google Africa climate change or Africa climate action and almost every link will be to an institution (UN, WMO, IMF, Brookings, USAID, IPCC, etc.) rather than a newspaper or magazine article.
