According to the latest report on the global state of buildings and construction, released this week by UNEP and the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC), the construction sector accounts for more than a fifth of global greenhouse gas emissions. The report states that in 2022, this sector accounted for 37 percent of global operational energy and process-related CO2 emissions.
