A decade\u00a0\u00a0<strong>2021-2030<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0it is crucial to solving climate and environmental emergencies on our planet. They are necessary to achieve this goal\u00a0<strong>trillions of investments. The European Union and the EIB play a leading role in the implementation of the Paris Agreement. We place sustainability at the center of our activities. <\/strong>We have to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>limit<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0global warming to 1.5\u00b0C compared to pre-industrial levels by the end of this century,<\/li>\n<li><strong>adapt<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0with the inevitable impact of climate change<\/li>\n<li><strong>fight against<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0deterioration of the environment,<\/li>\n<li><strong>to stop<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0loss of biodiversity and<\/li>\n<li><strong>to stop<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0widening inequalities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The European Union is at the forefront of the global fight against climate change and environmental degradation. Through the European Green Deal, the EU aims to make the European economy sustainable and inclusive. The EIB is an important partner in this new growth strategy, playing a leading role in the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
