This is primarily due to the continuous expansion of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and nuclear power.<\/p>\n<p>According to the IEA report, global emissions in 2023 saw a slight increase of about 1.1 %, which is about 410 million tons. Ninety percent of these emissions are caused by human activity and currently total 37.4 billion tons.
