According to the assessment, European policies and adaptation measures are not keeping pace with rapidly growing climate risks. In many cases, gradual adaptation will not be sufficient and it may be necessary to act quickly even for risks that are not yet critical.<\/p>\n<p>The assessment identifies 36 major European climate risks within five broad groups: <b>ecosystems<\/b>,\u00a0<b>food<\/b>, <b>health<\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0<b>infrastructure<\/b>\u00a0a\u00a0<b>economy<\/b>\u00a0a\u00a0<b>finance<\/b>\u00a0. More than half of the main climate risks identified in the report now require more action, and eight of them are particularly urgent.
