Given the urgency of the matter, more entities are pledging their net zero goals. <\/span><\/span>Currently, there are more than 80 countries and hundreds of businesses that have established their net-zero plans. <\/span>Among them are the global producers of the evening - China, the United States of America, the European Union and India. <\/span>To have net zero emissions means a point, the greenhouse gas emissions in supplied by humans into the air are balanced by the emissions removed from the air.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Think of it as a scale. <\/span>Emissions of carbon and other greenhouse gases tip the scale, and the goal of net zero is to bring the scale back into balance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Achieving this balance requires two things.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Reduction of emissions released from human activity closer to zero.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. eliminating emissions that are difficult to reduce.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Achieving net zero means we can still create some emissions. <\/span>But as long as they are offset by initiatives that will be GHG already in the atmosphere.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    A number of carbon removal solutions and technologies are being developed to capture CO2 from the air and store it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
