It is the most ambitious package of policies and initiatives to combat climate change and prevent biodiversity loss in the world. It is the response of the European Union (EU) to the global climate emergency. The EGD is a package of policies that define Europe&#039;s strategy to achieve zero net emissions and become a resource-efficient economy by 2050. The EGD will affect all sectors of the economy. In addition, suppliers from non-EU countries will also be affected.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"et-main-area\">\n<div id=\"main-content\">\n<div class=\"et-l et-l--body\">\n<div class=\"et_builder_inner_content et_pb_gutters3\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_section et_pb_section_1_tb_body et_pb_with_background et_section_regular\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_1_tb_body\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column_2_tb_body  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_post_content et_pb_post_content_0_tb_body\">\n<p><span>The EGD includes more than 50 policy initiatives and will be financed with more than 1 billion euros. EGD policies will change the way goods are produced and consumed. This means that goods sold on the EU market, including imports from third countries, will have to meet higher environmental and sustainability standards.
