For example, women are less likely than men to have their work demands reduced during periods of extreme heat. The report says that addressing inequalities and empowering women would improve their well-being and that of their households. This would also reduce hunger, increase incomes and strengthen resilience. Yet the authors warn that few national policies have specific targets to address women\u2019s inequalities in agri-food systems.
