Almost a third of us would be willing to pay higher taxes to help fight these problems, putting the UK in the top eight of 29 countries ready to hit their own pockets. Globally, 31 percent of people trust their leaders. However, the public here have suggestions for ministers who say financial incentives or tax cuts for organic products would help. A quarter believe that the economic costs of the climate emergency itself will be higher than the price of measures to reduce it. The survey was conducted by the Ipsos company on the occasion of Saturday&#039;s Earth Day. dr. The survey&#039;s Pippa Bailey said: \u201cThere is growing recognition of the individual&#039;s responsibility to act.
