To this end, the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism met last month in Songdo, Republic of Korea, to discuss the implementation of a new\u00a0<\/span>work program<span>. <\/span>The programme focuses on high-potential sectors and high-impact actions for innovation, development and transfer of transformative technologies, from renewable energy to sustainable transport, combined with effective policies. <span>Members of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) and the Climate Technology Centre and Advisory Committee Network (CTCN) \u2013 two bodies\u00a0<\/span>Technological mechanism<span>\u00a0The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement have discussed key examples of technologies that are transferable and scalable and can strengthen national climate plans under the Paris Agreement (Nationally Determined Contributions or \u201cNDCs\u201d).<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UN Climate News, 19 April 2023 \u2013 As climate change accelerates and time to decarbonise societies and build resilience shrinks, technologies that can significantly move the needle in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping societies adapt are urgently needed.
