He added that the development of AI itself is challenging, however, and a third of European companies therefore resort to shared infrastructure or cloud services from international companies such as Google, Amazon or Microsoft. The introduction of artificial intelligence has an impact on both the carbon footprint and labor productivity. The European Parliament's think tank estimates that AI will help reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 1.5 % to 4 % and can bring about an increase in labor productivity from 11 % to 37 % by 2035, the company said. However, the introduction of artificial intelligence will cause the disappearance of some jobs. European statistics indicate that 14 % jobs in the countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development can be easily automated and another 32 % could face significant changes. However, Gers explains that the introduction of modern technologies will help create new and better jobs. In the area of customer communication, however, it is essential to ensure an omnichannel approach that uses all channels. Artificial intelligence is a key element in the digital transformation of the European Union. However, the EU is also aware of the challenges in this regard. The European Commission is therefore preparing AI regulation.

TASR

“Artificial intelligence and machine learning are used in various applications, including process automation, improving customer experience, optimizing supply chain management, predictive maintenance, and optimizing production and logistics,” says Eduard Gers, a digitalization expert at the company.
