LONDON (Reuters) - A member of a United Nations-backed coalition of insurers and pension funds fighting climate change told Reuters it was considering leaving after disagreements over restrictions on investment in the oil and gas sector divided the group. Danish pension fund AkademikerPension may leave the Net Asset Owners Alliance because new requirements set out in a position paper for the Alliance\u2019s 85 members are not strict enough on ownership of shares and bonds in publicly listed oil and gas companies, its chief investment officer Anders Schelde said. \u201cThe position paper does not meet our standards and we will have to consider our participation in the NZAOA in the future,\u201d Schelde said, referring to the final draft document after an 18-month consultation process. Hopes for more ambitious demands have been dashed by concerns among some coalition members that regulatory targets could expose them to accusations that their industry is colluding and attract antitrust lawsuits, according to people familiar with the negotiations.<\/p>\n
