The latest, announced on Friday 6 September by the European Copernicus Observatory, revealed that we have just experienced the hottest summer ever recorded. The three Northern Hemisphere summer months, from June to August 2024, saw the highest average global temperature since records began. Humanity has just experienced the hottest months of June and August and also the hottest day on record.
