Calculate your carbon footprint

Carbon footprint is a term used to quantify the impact of an activity, person or product on climate change. In layman's terms, it is an indicator that tells us how much we, or the products we buy, influence the changes of our planet. It is therefore an indicator of the burden on the environment. It is mostly expressed in CO2 equivalent. Basically, each of us has some kind of carbon footprint. It occurs when you drive a car, when you buy a new sweater, when you eat your favorite hamburger. There is more to the purchased goods than just the price tag. If you are curious about the carbon footprint you are leaving with your activity, you can calculate your carbon footprint very easily.

You can find the carbon footprint calculator on the portal Institute of Environmental Policy (IEP) or on the next page.
